Each melon-form ash container of sahari, an alloy of copper, tin and lead, and fitted with a recessed and reticulated silver cover; signature incised on underside of lid

Lot Essay

Joeki was a master craftsman of the Nakagawa family of Kyoto who specialized in metal utensils for the tea event.
