Meiji period (circa 1900), with engraved signature on base Kyoto Namikawa [Workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki, 1845-1927]
The small rectangular box set on four lappet feet and designed in colored opaque enamels defined by gold wires with a bird in flight, branches of plum and other spring blossoms along the sides and lid, set against a midnight-blue ground, the interior olive green enamel, mounts silver
