An inlaid iron table cabinet (kodansu)
Meiji period (late 19th century), sealed on bottom with the mark of the Komai workshop
Inlaid in gilt nunomezogan and hirazogan, silver and shakudo, the doors with scenery of boats and houses on Lake Biwa with Mount Fuji in the distance, the inside of the doors and faces of the drawers with chickens, cranes, swallows and butterflies, the sides and the back with various shaped panels of landscapes, the top inlaid with a flock of cranes flying through the clouds before Mount Fuji; carved on the bottom with three floral wreaths, on four bracket feet
