Dressed in elaborate Tang dynasty-style robes with extensive ornamental detail of floral patterns, clouds, dragons, lions, pomegranates and phoenixes in red, green, blue, pink and black pigment and gilt, the face, hand and details applied with white powdered shell (gofun), the deity placed on a rock base set on a rectangular plinth, seated with the left hand holding a gilded jewel and the right hand closed to hold a once-present lotus stalk
