The rounded rectangular two-piece 'book-matched'-veneered cross- and feather-banded moulded hinged top enclosing a cross and feather-banded interior, each side veneered in two 'book-matched' sections, above four graduated feather-banded drawers, on bracket feet, the underside inscribed in chalk '72', with Arlington Conservation label on the reverse, the lopers replaced, the metalwork original, with the exception of one later steel lock
