Lot Essay

Adam Bowett has suggested that the ovolo-moulded drawers on this dressing-table suggest a date after 1730 (Bowett, op. cit.).

The construction, carving, veneering and dimensions are so similar as the previous lot that it is almost certain that both were made in the same workshop.
