Johan Bernardus Vrijthoff (Frythof), is recorded working in The Hague (Hage = 's-Gravenhage) third quarter 18th Century. Vrijthoff was probably born circa 1744 and died around 1797. In 1764 there is a record of him buying a house at the Herderinnenweg of 't Zand in The Hague. From 1773 until 1797 Vrijthoff is recorded as chief and dean of the watchmakers' guild.
