A GERMAN CAST-IRON 'FER DE BERLIN' NIGHT TIMEPIECE
PROBABLY BERLIN, CIRCA 1830
Modelled as a cherub kneeled on a fluted pedestal, holding aloft a circular bezel with ruby coloured glass dial chapter ring centred by an ormolu flower shaped dial, gilt-brass hands, with an English brass watch movement signed John Parker, Liverpool 15871, probably late 18th century, balance wheel escapement and chain fusee
