QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The compressed globular body raised on three stout legs and decorated overall with archaistic motifs of stylized taotie, dragons and scrolling lotus heads picked out in tones of red, yellow, blue, green and white on a turquoise ground, with a pair of curved openwork handles decorated with angular scrolls and ruyi heads, and with narrow bands of dissolved taotie masks on the short neck and outside of the rim
