A very similar bronze censer, which does not appear to have been decorated with gold splashes, is illustrated by R. Mowry, Later Chinese Bronzes: The Saint Louis Art Museum and Robert E. Kresko Collections, Saint Louis Art Museum, 2008, pp. 104-7, no. 19, where it is dated late 17th/early 18th century.
