A RARE FAMILLE ROSE-ENAMELLED LAVENDER-GROUND SQUARE CENSER AND COVER

Raised on four curved legs issuing from monster masks, each side decorated with a taotie mask below a band of petal lappets on the shoulder, all with gilt highlights and reserved on a lavender ground, with a pair of handles in matching enamelled metal, the stepped cover decorated en suite below an enamelled metal post supporting an openwork metal dragon and cloud knop, the interiors in turquoise enamel; the pair of handles, one leg and the knop all enamelled metal replacements
