FOUR JADE AND BRONZE GE-HALBERD BLADES
LATE SHANG DYNASTY, CIRCA 1200 BC
Two jade blades with median ridge and beveled edge tapering to a point, the heavily encrusted tangs with a single hole; one broad blade with median ridge and beveled rounded cutting edge, the bronze tang with single hole below a decorative panel on both sides cast for insertion of turquiose inlay; the smallest with spatulate jade blade and bronze tang with single hole and panels on both sides cast for insertion of inlay
