FOUR SMALL JADE RABBIT-FORM PENDANTS
EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 11TH-10TH CENTURY BC
All shown crouching and carved on both sides, the largest of dark mottled grey-green color, with large circular eyes and long concave ears; one thick and of pale greenish-white color, the long ears continuing onto the top edge, pierced through the paws; the third a semi-translucent pale yellowish-green fragment possibly recarved at a later date, with incised scrolls and striated bands on the body; the fourth thin and semi-translucent with some opaque alteration
