A RARE OLIVE-GREEN JADE CONVEX ORNAMENT
SPRING AND AUTUMN PERIOD, CIRCA 5TH CENTURY BC
Possibly a handle, the center carved with addorsed taotie masks flanked by scrolls above a taotie mask carved at each end, one with a bullnose hole, the semi-translucent stone with opaque brown color from alteration; together with a semi-translucent olive-green and brown jade huang, c. 5th century BC, the thin plaque carved in low relief on both sides with three sections of detached scrolls separated by narrow rope-twist borders, the end sections with abstract dragon heads and notched borders
