etching, 1645, watermark Fool's Cap with seven-pointed Collar (dated circa 1639-1655 by Ash & Fletcher), a very fine impression of this rare etching, printing with subtle tone and sharp plate edges, with 4-6 mm. margins, a tiny rust spot with associated pinpoint hole in the lower margin, the tip of the upper left corner made-up, a few tiny pinpoint foxmarks, otherwise in very good, unpressed condition
