Each on circular spreading base with ribbon-bound laurel leaf border and with tapering cylindrical stem terminating with male bust, one side with the mask of a bearded man and on the other a youth, surmounted by a vase-shaped socket, the bases applied with a coat-of-arms with princely coronet above, fully marked

The arms are those of Prince Massimiliano Massimo (1770-1839), who married Princess Christina, daughter of Prince Saverino of Saxony, and grand-daughter of Augustus III, King of Poland. Prince Massimiliano was one of the patricians held hostage in Paris from 1811 until 1815 (2)
