The following lots are a continuation of the outstanding collection that Christie's wine department auctioned across our various sale sites in 2009, culminating in the highly successful Single-Owner sale held in Amsterdam in November
As was detailed in that catalogue, the owner of this collection displayed a remarkable passion for sourcing high quality wines to be enjoyed when building up this collection and we are sure that buyers will be able to find many lots that appeal
This collection is that of a wine lover and drinker. This explains the mixed nature of most of the lots that are offered here and they have been selected in a way to give maximium enjoyment to buyers with plenty of opportunities to compare and contrast different vintages, producers and terroirs within the lots. This particularly applies to the lots of red and white Burgundy, a particular area of passion for the owner
The wines from the collection offered in this sale are as diverse as in last November's sale and those buyers who do not succeed with their bids this time, can take heart from the fact that more from this collection will be sold over the course of 2010 in Amsterdam

Special notice
(Wine sales only). Christie's charges a Buyer's premium calculated at 17.850% of the hammer price for each lot with a value up to €150,000. If the hammer price of a lot exceeds €150,000 then the premium for the lot is calculated at 17.850% of the first €150,000 plus 11.9% of any amount in excess of €150,000. Buyer's Premium is calculated on this basis for each lot individually.
