A SAFAVID SILK AND SILVER-THREAD BROCADE PANEL
IRAN, 17TH CENTURY
Silk enriched with metal thread, the olive-green satin ground woven with a bold central silver-thread rosette with inner flowerhead in bright colours, surrounded by bold scrolling leaves and radiating flowerheads, the integral border with similar scrolling leaves on a silver-thread ground, applied fringes, overall good condition
