Of almost square form, the purple silk satin ground woven in metal thread with staggered rows of boteh motifs, with one gently arched central rectangular cartouche giving the name of Muzaffar al-Din Shah and two further calligraphic cartouches, with red silk lining and gold cord piping around the edges, composed of three panels, some splits to silk

Although the inscription panel is dated 1312, this was probably intended to read AH 1313 or AH 1316, since Muzaffar al-Dan Shah did not come to the throne until AH 1313.
