Comprising 37 photographs, each showing an important feat of the civil engineering of the Hejaz Railway, with Turkish riq'a description below, laid down on white card, in red morocco binding with gilt stamped borders, the front cover with tughra and arms of Sultan 'Abdul Hamid II (r. 1876-1909), the back cover with a gold crescent and star, brown staining mostly in the margins, minor scuffing
