A GILT-MOUNTED APSLEY PELLATT CUT-GLASS CIRCULAR BOX AND AN ENGLISH SULPHIDE PORTRAIT BROOCH
Circa 1830-40
The box cover centering a gold foil inclusion enameled with a view of Worcester, above strawberry diamonds; the gilt-metal and blue enamel brooch set with a profile, possibly of the physician and antiquarian William Stukeley, to sinister, the reverse with a fitted compartment enclosing a photograph, the edge with a later memorial inscription for February 6th, 1878
