A SAINT LOUIS ENGRAVED GLASS PEN HOLDER, 'PORTE PLUME'
Circa 1848-1850
The bowl of flaring form engraved and trace-gilt with grapevine, a blue and white torsade at the rim, above a crown weight, the hollow glass set with alternating twisted red and green latticinio ribbons and latticinio tubing radiating from a central millefiori cane; together with a latticino pen wipe with blue and white torsade rim, circa 1850, the mount stamped RANSOM
