Comparable alabaster altar pieces can be found in the collections of the Rijksmuseum, Catharijneconvent in Utrecht and the Museum Simon van Gijn in Dordrecht. The altar in Dordrecht has a similar framework and dyptich wings as the one on offer here. The panel in Utrecht shows a relief depicting the last supper which also closely relates to the present panel.
