THE FIRST LATE 17TH EARLY 18TH CENTURY; THE SECOND 19TH CENTURY
The first with flat double-edged blade with rebated tip, the forte etched with the figure of Justice on both sides and with pairs of rhyming couplets within the short fullers, the ricasso struck with a mark, iron hilt and moulded leather covered grip set between a pair of iron collars; The second with short blade struck with a mark on both sides and the hilt incorporating a seventeenth century crosspiece chiselled with monster terminals
