A PAIR OF TURKISH SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With twist barrels encrusted with panels of gold foliage at the breech and retained by later engraved white metal bands, bevelled locks encrusted with gold foliage, wooden full stocks profusely decorated with overlaid pierced panels of silver flowering interlace, each with maker's stamp struck opposite the lock, full silver mounts cast in low relief, the trigger-guards and pommels decorated with trophies of arms, and each retaining a section of the original ramrod
