The rectangular case with raised gold and enamel floral decoartion to the front panel, raised basket of flowers to each corner, the border with raised floral design between two lines of enamel, the textured sides and bottom panel with similar floral and geomtric design, the front side panel hinged, containing the watch, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, sweep centre seconds, winding holes situated behind the front side panel, the enamel lid with painted floral scene on pink enamel background, blue enamel border, hinged and opened by a slide in the band to reveal a singing bird, rotating on its axis, flapping its winds wagging its tail and turning its head, the musical mechanism activated at will by a slide in the front side panel, the singing bird movement with chain fusee, circular bellows, musical movement with spring pin barrel, with two sets of eight seperate tuned teeth, the watch movement mounted on the same plate as the musical movement, with cylinder escapement, unsigned
