With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied steel indexes in 1946 and its subsequent sale on 31 March 1947.

This watch is a very rare example of a steel reference 565 fitted with a silvered dial with luminous Arabic numerals and luminous hands, rendering it the appearance of military wristwatches of the period. Although, according to Patek Philippe's archives, the present watch was sold with a silvered dial with applied steel numerals, the present dial can be dated from the same period and was most certainly exchanged shortly after its sale.

According to our researches, only two other examples of this model in steel featuring such dial have been offered in public to date, the present reference 565 is however the only one with such oversized numerals.

Fresh to the market, the overall appeal of this watch is furthermore enhanced by its very good, original overall condition.
