With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with white gold hour markers in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 21 January 1954.

This watch is a rare and attractive example of the successful and sought-after reference 565, distinguished by its unusual dial layout. The combination of black hard enamel Arabic numerals and applied white gold baton numerals to 3, 6, 9 and 12 enhance the unique appearance of this fine watch.

Reference 565 was available with either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds: the first with calibre 12'''120 was launched in 1938. Production of the second series featuring a calibre 27 SC movement, such as the present watch, started in 1942.
