With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the movement of the present watch in 1888. It was encased in 1920 and sold on 19 July 1922.

The rarity of this watch lies in its unusual large size. In fact research has revealed that it is the largest cushion-shaped wristwatch by Patek Philippe known to date. It exceeds the width of the average gentleman's size cushion-shaped Patek Philippe wristwatch featuring a 12 lignes movement by 3 mm. and the overall length, e.g. including lugs, by 4 mm.

The watch is furthermore preserved in very good original overall condition, retaining crisp signature and case number to the outside of its back.
