Lot Essay

With Jaeger-LeCoultre blue presentation box made for the 125th Anniversary of the firm in 1958, the inside designed as a double duty box to hold jewelery and cigarettes.

According to the Archives of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the present watch was manufactured in 1971. The Master Mariner Plongeur reference E.558, was made in only 1532 examples from 1968 to 1971.

The present watch is a fine example of Jaeger-LeCoultre's "Deep Sea Master Mariner" mode, standing out by its excellent, original overall condition.
