According to the Archives of Montres Longines Francillon SA, the present watch was delivered to Ostersetzer, the company's agent in Italy, on 12 April 1961.

The present watch is from the first series of Longines' diver's wristwatch, fitted with the automatic cal. 19AS movement. It is preserved in very good, original condition, still retaining the large crowns, the original shark skin bracelet and metal buckle.

A similar model, however fitted with cal. 290, is illustrated in Longines Watches by John Goldberger, pp. 298 & 299.
