With Vacheron Constantin Certificate of Authenticity confirming that the movement of the present watch was made in 1946 and encased in 1983. Furthermore delivered with copies of the Geneva Observatory timing sheet and results of the 1949 Category A timing contest where the watch obtained 737 points.
This watch is amongst the most impressive tourbillon watches by Vacheron Constantin ever offered at auction. Made in 1946, the movement participated at the 1949 Category A timing contest at the Geneva Observatory followed by the Neuchâtel Observatory contest in 1961. It then remained in Vacheron Constantin's stock until 1983 when it was encased in the present case and sold under reference 92231.
