With Hublot Big Bang International Warranty dated 2009, Certificate of Authenticity, original sales tag, instruction manual, polishing cloth, original fitted black presentation box, circular glazed aperture with screwed metal bezel to resemble a porthole, and outer packaging, both with Luna Rossa inscription on red ground.
Hublot (French for porthole) is indissociably linked to the sea and boats. Following numerous many prestigious partnerships in the nautical and yachting world, Hublot launched in 2007 the "Luna Rossa" Big Bang, made in a limited edition of 1000 examples. The present watch, number 441 of this edition, is preserved in new old stock condition.
The Luna Rossa Challenge (originally named Prada Challenge) is an Italian sailboat racing syndicate, created to compete for the America's Cup.
The black carbon dial of the "Luna Rossa" features the Luna Rossa logo on the famous red line, the angular case is built of superimposed layers of different materials. A Kevlar insert provides an unusual side view giving the impression that the watch is traversed by the legendary Hublot black natural rubber strap. The stamped carbon dial sets off the extra-wide crystal in a ceramic bezel with six screws in the form of an "H" and black composite resin lug disks. The crown and rectangular chronograph button heads have black natural rubber inserts.
