A SMALL BOXWOOD CARVING OF A LUOHAN

Very finely carved with the seated figure clasping his raised left leg which is resting on his right, his face with finely detailed facial hair and a serene expression, wearing loose robes falling in soft folds extending to the underside and open at the chest to reveal his emaciated body, the wood well-patinated with areas of rich caramel tones
