AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE FACETED JAR AND COVER, FANGHU
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Decorated with a band of taotie masks between pendent blades below pairs of birds confronted on raised flanges applied on the shoulder on two sides and stylized dragon handles on the narrow sides, with a further small handle on the lower body on one side, and flanges at the corners, the cover decorated en suite, with traces of gilding and with greenish-brown patination
