CIRCA 730-700 B.C.
Standing on zigzag openwork base, of stylized form with tall ears, long muzzle and high crested mane, repaired and restored, 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) high; and a further group of Greek and Roman bronze mainly animals and attachments including the forepart of a Greek bronze recumbent lion, 2 in. (5 cm.) high; a Greek bronze figure of a standing bull, 2 in. (5 cm.) long; a Greek bronze attachment in the form of a sphinx seated on a Corinthian column capital, 2½ in. (6.4 cm.); a Roman bronze figure of a crouching mouse, 1½ in. (4 cm.) long; and a Roman bronze rectangular shaped stand with the busts of a bearded and youthful satyr emerging at either end, 1¾ in.
