HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD-2ND CENTURY B.C.
Composed of a sheet strip, with attachment loops at each end, centred by an oval boss with beaded and plain wire border, set with a circular garnet, flanked by stylized birds composed of conjoined sheets of gold, with three strands of twisted sheet gold for their outstretched wings, beaded wire birds above and below, mounted

Formerly in a French private collection, acquired prior to World War II.
