LATE 3RD-EARLY 2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
The shaft decorated with a seated figure, 8½ in. (21.5 cm.) long; and a group of Near Eastern bronze animals and objects comprising a Luristan bronze horsebit with ibex cheekpieces, 2½ in. (6.5 cm.) high max.; a Luristan bronze whetstone with ibex socket, 7½ in. (19 cm.) long; a Luristan bronze pendant in the form of conjoined quadrupeds, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; a Luristan bronze panther head finial, 2½ in. (6.5 cm.) long; a Luristan bronze figure of a horse and rider, 2¼ in. (5.5 cm.) high; a bronze figure of a bull, 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) high; a bronze figure of a crouching feline, on integral socketed base, 2½ in. (6.5 cm.) long; and a bronze figure of a striding ibex on attached pin, 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high, all 2nd-1st millennium B.C. (9)
