A MEISSEN BROCADE-PATTERN KAKIEMON AND IMARI PUNT-SHAPED SPOON-TRAY
CIRCA 1735-40, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
The top diagonal section painted with the flying fox and squirrel among vine and banded hedge, the lower section with a brocade pattern of chequered lozenges variously painted with diaper-pattern, black whorls on a pale-turquoise ground and gilt stylised peony on an iron-red ground, within a brown line rim, the underside with scattered indianische Blumen (restoration to left hand end of dish)
