The centre of the Japanese prototype painted with a partridge perched by a swirling river, the scalloped border with gold, red and blue panels reserved with flowers and panels with phoenix, the underside with peonies (gilt rim worn away, some further slight wear); the Meissen plate similarly decorated, the lobed design within a circular gilt line rim (minute wear to well)
The Meissen plate 8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) diam, the dish 9 5/8 in. (24.4 cm.) wide (2)
