Painted in the manner of B.G. Häuer, each side with miners and foremen in landscape vignettes, the shoulders and cover with scattered deutsche Blumen, the cover with a flower finial (scratching to enamels, restored chip to corner of base and of shoulder, cover with retouching to gilding along parts of rim, small rim chip, finial with minute chipping)

A cup bearing the date 1748 and with mining decoration attributed to Häuer is in Fenton House, Hampstead, London (accession no. FEN/C/100, formerly in the Katherine Lady Binning Collection, bequeathed to the National Trust in 1952).
