A service of this design, modelled by Johann Friedrich Eberlein was made for Heinrich, Count von Brühl in 1742. The main printed source was Johann Wilhelm Weinmann's Phytanthoza Iconographia, published in four volumes in Regensburg between 1737-45. For two similar plates, see D. Hoffmeister, Meissener Porzellan des 18. Jahrhunderts, Katalog der Sammlung Hoffmeister, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg (Hamburg, 1999), Vol. I, pp. 348, nos. 225-226, where the Anderson Collection plate is listed.
