A PAIR OF MEISSEN HAUSMALEREI CHINOISERIE TWO-HANDLED BEAKERS FROM THE 'HOSENNESTEL SERVICE'
CIRCA 1724-25, THE DECORATION CIRCA 1731, EACH WITH GILT MONOGRAM FOR SABINA AUFFENWERTH
Painted at Augsburg by Sabina Auffenwerth, each side with Orientals at various pursuits on terraces including one figure trimming a candle with scissors, on elaborate iron-red, purple and gilt diaper-pattern and scroll supports flanked by gilt Oriental figures beneath canopies flanking interlocking scrollwork, with indianische Blumen by the gilt handles, the interiors with Gitterwerk borders, gilt band rims (one with crack to base of one handle and very small footrim chip, slight wear to gilt rims and handles, further minute wear)
