"The '85 Krug collection twenty five years on is a wonderfully aromatic wine, with pronounced tropical and coconut aromas on the nose overlaid with a firm mineral cast and a slightly oxidative edge that manifests as smoke and buttered toast. On the palate the texture is very silken. The acidity is still there, but it doesn't dominate as once it had - now the complete, round nature of the extract is more evident. Wonderful and delicious."
