MARK OF HESTER BATEMAN, LONDON, 1780
The trumpet foot on a square base raised on four ball supports, engraved with initials JN within motto cartouche below a crest, spout with ivory spigot, bead borders, ribbed handles terminating in foliage, crested cover with vase-shaped finial

The crest and family motto are those of Newenham of Everdon, Northamptonshire
