CIRCA 1785, IRON-RED STENCILLED INITIAL MARK
In the Turkish taste, the compressed oviform body painted with equestrian figures of a lady and a gentleman in wooded river landscapes, each within a gilt oval stiff-leaf cartouche, with swags of flowers and bands of leaves, the reeded domed cover with an artichoke finial, with a gilt-metal and turned wood cable handle, the swing pierced metal sections formed as lyres (minor chipping to spout, slight wear)
7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high max.
