These charms were part of the 1991 Cartier's collection, each of them representing a part of the History of Cartier. The elephant as the symbol of their special collection 'On the road to the East Indies', the number 13 for their address rue de la Paix in Paris, the double-C for their initial and the panther as the company's most famous theme. Cf. "Platinum by Cartier", F. Cologni and E. Nussbaum, 1996, New York, p.246-247.
