Lot Essay

A carousel of the same design sold in these Rooms, 22 May 2009, lot 65 and another carousel is illustrated in Gene Moore, My Time at Tiffany's, 1990, p. 201. The carousel animals move up-and-down to the tune of the "Carousel Waltz."
