Four Cloisonné Vases
Meiji Period (late 19th century)
All worked in various thicknesses of silver wire and coloured enamels on blue grounds, the first trumpet-shaped with fan-tailed birds on a branch with overhanging cherry blossom; the second with cranes in a stream, mark of Hayashi Kodenji; the third with flowers and foliage behind a fence; and the fourth with cranes amongst irises
