With tigers taking their cubs across a torrent carved in sukidashi-bori with gold and silver inlaid details

Accompanied by a certificate of registration as a Tokubetsu Hozon Kodogu [sword fitting especially worthy of preservation] no. 227655 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword] on 21st April 2006

This is an example of fine Edo kinko work, school of Tanaka Kiyotoshi.
